The Jordan Family . Well Part of Them!

Meet Erin and Shiloh.  They make up two fifths of the amazing, wonderful, beautiful Jordan Family!  We were able to spend some time with this legendary family while we were in Australia this past month.  I will be posting more of these, but as I was making my way through them at a first glance these caught my eye.  The love that this family pours out is beyond words!  Thanks for having us into your home and the memories we took with us.

The Vessey Family . Growing

Taya Faith Vessey could will be here anytime and there couldn't be a more appropriate middle name for this beautiful girl.  We have all been believing for here for a long time, and now that it is becoming a reality a whirlwind of emotions is hitting the Vessey family and all of those who care so deeply about them.  The Vesseys are beyond special to us.  We met them almost 3 years ago at church, and although the bond might have not been instant, our frriendship has grown to be one that will last forever.  That being said, Chad and I were honored and touched in such a special way when we were asked to be Taya's God Parents.  This is a first for me and I cannot wait to watch this girl, along with Kayden and the rest of the family grow up.

I could go on about these people forever!  I would encourage you to get to know them a little better by viewing this video explaining the life transforming encounter that Bret had with Christ...be warned, it might bring tears!  It has completely and totally transformed their family and I am beyond proud to have seen him grow over the past couple years.

I spent a bit of time with them hanging out and snapping some pics.  Check back often as I'm sure Taya's life will be well documented on this blog!

Bret, Heather, Kayden, Gavin, and Taya, the Cannons love you guys!  Thank you for being a part of our lives and bring on that beautiful baby girl!

Outtakes . For Fun

Have I mentioned just how blessed I feel to be working with some of the best people on the planet?  Well if I haven't, I cannot stress enough just how humbling it is for a family, a bride and groom, or anybody to trust me enough to get in front of my camera.  Even moreso, nothing thrills me more than when I can really tell that my clients are comfortable enough to just be themselves.  It sort of goes without saying that this is when you will get the best photos. 

When I am shooting a family, my main goal is for it to be fun and exactly how I arrive at that is a little bit different each time.  As I was looking back through these photos again, I found these two photos that I would consider outtakes.  These two boys were full of energy and willing to try just about anything, so I went with it.  As a result we get some frames like these, which, although might not be the best composed or most spot on focused photos in the world, to me speak volumes about the personalities of these two.

#1 - Background story - we're at the beach (duh) and the boy had just had their hands in the sand.  As we were getting ready to take a "serious" picture I noticed hands full of sand...it was obvious to me that a high-5 was in order!

#2.  Everything and I mean, EVERYTHING is a contest with boys.  Naturally, lets make that official.  So, I say.."hey boys, lets see who can jump the highest"!
